A forward-thinking bank in full development

In 2024, Banque Cantonale de Fribourg recorded excellent results, with sustained growth in the key sectors of wealth management, mortgage business and business loans. This qualitative growth is a testament to the lasting trust of our customers, despite an environment marked by inflation and the monetary policies of central banks, which have impacted interest rates throughout the year.

Our solid financial performance not only enables us to support public authorities, but also to invest in the future of our institution. With this in mind, we have continued to strengthen our teams to guarantee optimal service quality. At the same time, we have accelerated our digital transformation and modernised our infrastructure in order to anticipate the challenges of tomorrow.

In 2024, we completed a major project at BCF headquarters. Under the direction of architect Mario Botta, the first floor of this iconic building has been completely renovated, as you will discover in the pages of this report. Thanks to the expertise of many different trades, the new spaces combine modernity and functionality, offering an optimised environment for our customers and our employees. Our branches are also benefiting from this transformation. Last year, the Domdidier branch was given a makeover, while the Guin and Bulle branches underwent complete renovations to further improve the customer experience.

To ensure a quality service and support tailored to the needs of our customers, we continually invest in the training of our employees. In particular, we have intensified our efforts to develop skills in environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, in order to respond appropriately to the growing challenges in this area.

In 2024, BCF’s Board of Directors, on the proposal of the Executive Board, defined the strategic orientations for the 2025-2027 cycle. This exercise allows us to consolidate our vision and anticipate future developments, while remaining true to our mission: to place our clients at the centre of our actions and to support them with expertise and proximity.

Committed to the values that define BCF, we are proud to be a trusted partner for the residents and businesses of the Canton of Fribourg, offering them reliable support and sound advice.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our customers for their loyalty. We would also like to extend our warmest thanks to all our employees for their professionalism and commitment.
